I am starting to write my experience from now. hehe! well, I am not a good writer so please I need your full understanding. Ok let me start with this July 16,2011 Open Day Recruitment for Qatar Airways here in Singapore.For those who don't know what is Open Day, it's a CV Submission wherein QR Recruiters mismo ang makakaharap nyo. same thing with MNL recruitment. I arrived around 10am i was shocked kc madame applicants ngaun unlike before it was like 600+ and so. Madame din pinoy. Recruiters are Tanya is a Malaysian but grew up in Singapore and also a former cabin crew of SIA ( Singapore Airlines) and Soledad is from Argentina. both are so nice. then I submitted my CV to Tanya, It was a very small talk. She just asked who gave me my name is it my parents or me? I said my parents. haha! then she said so you worked in Delta Airlines before? I said yes. (smiled) after that she said
Ok we'll just wait for my call if you're shortlisted..So I say thank you and I smiled again. after that I asked other applicants and surprisingly, sila meron pang details na how to dress up sa next day group discussion. so medyo worried din ako. and then I pray and ask God for guidance and grace. after that I went back to the Amara Hotel to meet my friends. since dun nakacheck in ung OZ crew na friend ko. we went to swimming pa to relax. Sabi ko pa sa friend ko
Inde ako pwede lumangoy sa malayo dapat malapit sa phone ko.. hehe!and hiniram pa ng friend ko ung phone ko to check her facebook, suddenly nagring as in super excited ako and it was Tanya from QR she said
Hi Cinderella, this is Tanya for Qatar Airways, then She informed me that I was shortlisted for tomorrow's (17Jully2011) Assessment day. Your Reference # is 20. You have to be here 12pm. We said Thank you and Goodbye to each other.After the call I feel so happy. As in It was my first time to receive a call from QR and ganun pla feeling. Sobrang saya na prang nagfloat ako.. I cried sa sobrang saya. hehe! then prepare for the next day. on the day ng Assessment, I arrived around 1145am. I saw co-applicants we were 70 applicants there. They showed us the mini clip about Qatar Airways and explain the salary/benefits and how does it go to live in Doha,Qatar. It was a goosebumps for me. It's very near. after that they give a 15 minutes break before the English exam. it was not difficult, time zone, reading comprehension, grammar and essay. during the exam they asked one by one to come for the reaching test. I was able to reach it. So I am confident that I could get in. then they asked us again to wait for 40 minutes for them to check the result of the exam. So we decided to look for a Hawker Centre (food stalls in Singapore) then eat. I just bought a drink , I don't feel like eating. I dunno cguro excited much. then after 40minutes we went back again. unfortunately my number was not called for those who passed. Yet I'm so happy for this experience maybe it's not for now but I know in God's perfect time it will happen smoothly. most of my co-applicants cried so much. Me? I don't , you know why? because he sent someone to comfort me that time and it's IRRA aka J-boy of PEX and a QR cabin crew. yeah he has a layover in SG. We don't see each other in person sa pex lng tlga kame naguusap. pero nung time na nakita ko xa I initiated to say Hi. and he's so nice. He gave me tips/do's and don'ts and we talked about things The Secret and his famous lines
Thoughts Become Things. It was really a good feeling to talk to someone who is so positive in many ways. I know God is giving me enough time to prepare emotionally,spiritually and physically. I will fly. very soon. not now but who know's it will happen next month. hehe! Insha'allah! KUDOS to all who made it. :)
